Summer Blast

Summer Blast is an exciting summer opportunity for youth in Newaygo County. The program provides recreation and new experiences for youth while building skills, connecting with peers and taking exciting field trips.

Newly licensed through the State of Michigan, the program will be held in partnership with local school districts, taking place at Daisy Brook Elementary, Fremont Middle School, Newaygo Elementary, Grant Elementary and Grant Middle School.

Summer Blast is open to youth in kindergarten through 8th grade (kindergarten through 4th grade in Newaygo) and will include a variety of enrichment activities, summer fun and field trips. Lunch and a snack will be provided, and there is no cost to register. Parent pick up and drop off at each site will be required.

Summer Blast will operate Monday through Thursday from 11:30am – 5:30pm beginning Monday, June 16th and ending Thursday, July 31st, 2025.  There will be no programming the week of June 30th – July 4th.
