Youth

We help ensure that youth thrive by building tomorrow’s leaders and philanthropists across our programs and services

TrueNorth believes that providing nurturing opportunities for youth to develop and reach their potential is the smartest investment we can make for our future. Through youth leadership development, family engagement, enhanced social/education outcomes, and support of positive developmental assets, we enable our youth to reach their full potential.

Through Camp Newaygo and other programs and services, we are building strong family bonds

Our TrueMentors program, which includes TrueBlue Academy in Newaygo and Parks in Focus, provides mentoring needed by many of our young people.

Before and after school, and during the summer are critical times to reach our children and we do so through our Out-of-School Time programs for elementary and middle schools: Project FOCUS and Project FOCUS Rural Grit.

Enhancing a young person’s cultural experiences are essential to develop creative problem solvers and we bring cultural enrichment to them through our music and visual arts programs.

Our Children’s Services include the Children’s Christmas Programs & Toys for Tots, Coats For Kids (& Adults), Tools for School and Children’s Car Seats programs. These programs focus on the specific needs of each child and help them grow with hope for the future.
