TrueMentors Youth Programs

Now more than ever youth are in need of positive role models. TrueMentors exists to build self confidence and provide new experiences that support positive growth.

Mentoring is a ripple effect: one small influence can have an impact.

TrueBlue Academy: Newaygo & White Cloud

TrueBlue Academy is a mentoring program that provides learning and growth opportunities for students in Newaygo and White Cloud Public Schools. These lessons help young people discover who they are, cultivate abilities to shape their own lives and learn how to engage with and contribute to the world around them.

TrueMentors' Community Mentoring

Volunteers, ages 18 and older, are matched with Newaygo County youth, between the ages of 5 and 14, in a one-to-one mentoring relationship for a minimum of a one year commitment. Matches meet about four times each month and spend a minimum of eight hours each month together. Matches determine scheduling that works best for them to spend time together.

TrueMentors' Parks in Focus

Parks in Focus is an outdoor based group mentoring program utilizing curriculum provided by the Udall Foundation. The purpose of Parks in Focus is to connect youth to nature through photography. Outings of various lengths take youth to Michigan State Parks, Public Lands and National Parks. Take a moment to browse photos by our participants here.
