Community Liaison & Development Director 

Under the guidance and supervision of the President and CEO, the Community Liaison and Development Director is responsible for the successful implementation and execution of fundraising activities including donor acquisition, annual fund, events, major gifts ($5,000+), program specific fund raising, reserves, endowment funds, planned gifts, and capital campaigns. The Community Liaison and Development Director supervises all Development Department staff and leads other department staff, volunteers and Board of Directors in fundraising efforts.

Donor Database Specialist

The Donor Database Specialist will be the administrator of the Raiser’s Edge fund development database to include all functions related to the entry of data into, maintenance of and report writing for Raiser’s Edge. The Donor Database Specialist will help with prospect research and support, donor cultivation and stewardship. This position will also assist in the development, planning, execution and follow up of fundraising appeals, events and other solicitations. The Donor Database Specialist will also assist in other administrative functions such as grants management.

Events & Volunteer Coordinator

Under the guidance and direction of the Community Liaison and Development Director the Events and Volunteer Coordinator position is responsible for: 

TrueNorth Events: Plan, organize, and execute events from concept to completion, managing budgets, venues, vendors, timelines, and on-site logistics to ensure participant satisfaction and successful outcomes, handing everything from initial participant meeting and proposals to post-event evaluations. Key duties include vendor negotiation, setup & teardown supervision, marketing, staff management, budget control, and resolving unforeseen issues to create memorable mission-based experiences.

Volunteer Coordination: Plan, implement and manage internal TrueNorth Volunteer Services focusing on volunteer recruitment, training, coordination, retention, and recognition.

Project FOCUS Coordinator

The Project FOCUS Coordinator is responsible to the Director to assist with operating the 21st CCLC programs, to provide hands-on programmatic, instructional, and compliance support to ensure high-quality youth experiences.

Facilities & Maintenance Manager

Under the guidance and supervision of the President and CEO, the Facilities Manager oversees the installation, repair and upkeep of the machinery, buildings, grounds and systems of TrueNorth’s multiple properties and facilities including Camp Newaygo. This person is responsible for working in tandem with other maintenance staff, developing preventive maintenance schedules, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and required licensing. Key duties include troubleshooting breakdowns, providing on-site construction and repair, and managing vendor relationships. The Facilities & Maintenance Manager ensures that all TrueNorth properties remain safe, functional, and ready for use by guests, staff and program participants.

Community Health & Wellbeing Coordinator

Social prescribing empowers people to take control of their health and well-being through referral to non-clinical social prescribing link workers. They give people time to focus on ‘what matters to me’ and take a holistic approach to an individual’s health and well-being.

emPower Self-Sufficiency Advisor (Montcalm & Ionia Counties) 

The Self-Sufficiency Advisor will support the emPower Division by providing high quality, focused, case management services to eligible participants to assist them in becoming self-sufficient. This position will assist participants with identifying barriers and challenges that affect their ability to contribute to their energy costs and create case management goals that address the ability to reduce participant energy burden, contribute to energy costs, connect to resources not offered by TrueNorth and other mutually agreed upon participants-centered goal(s). Services will be provided in different geographic areas with the use of technology. This position is considered a mobile workforce position.

emPower Self-Sufficiency Advisor (Digital)

The Self-Sufficiency Advisor will support the emPower Division by providing high quality, focused, case management services to eligible participants to assist them in becoming self-sufficient. This position will assist participants with identifying barriers and challenges that affect their ability to contribute to their energy costs and create case management goals that address the ability to reduce participant energy burden, contribute to energy costs, connect to resources not offered by TrueNorth and other mutually agreed upon participants-centered goal(s). Services will be provided in various geographic areas in Michigan with the use of technology to digitally connect with participants.

emPower Call Center Specialist

The emPower Division Call Center Specialist, under the direction of the emPower Process Manager, communicates program information to participants through the emPower Call Center. Primary duties include answering phone calls, efficient and accurate problem solving of participant needs, and empathetic customer services. The Call Center Specialist is responsible for knowledge and understanding of program guidelines and policies, professional and clear communication, and accurate and precise data collection and entry.
