Sunday, February 9, is a golden opportunity for dads to give the little girls in their lives a night they’ll always remember at Camp Newaygo’s annual Daddy Daughter Dance. Create a valentine, eat cookies, get your picture taken with your little one, and, of course, dance the night away to a live DJ.
Dads, stepdads, uncles, and grandpas: This is your chance to be the hero the little girls in your life already think you are. Let them know just how special they are, because before you know it, they’ll be going to dances on their own.
Local electrician Chad Newton has taken his daughter, Alyssa, to the Daddy Daughter Dance before and is planning on taking her again this year because “I think it’s really awesome to see dads trying their best, sometimes awkwardly, to show their daughters how a man should treat them."
A catered dinner is being offered before the dance. Make it a night out and enjoy a gourmet pasta buffet, salad, dessert and much more. The Daddy Daughter Dance is still only $7 per person, with an additional fee of $14.95 per adult and $9.95 per child for the optional pre-dance dinner and seatings at 5:15 p.m. or 5:45 p.m.
Don’t be left out; register today at campnewaygo.org/events/daddy-daughter/ to reserve your spots. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the dance festivities run until 7:30 p.m. in beautiful Lang Lodge at Camp Newaygo, located at 5333 S. Centerline Road, Newaygo.
