The NewayGo County Tourism Council, created in 2017, will hold its first Tourism Summit on Thursday, May 9, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Camp Newaygo, the council announced in a news release.
The Summit will be an interactive experience for anyone in NewayGo County who is involved in any way with the tourists who visit. All are welcome to join us and participate in this high-energy, educational and informational summit where we will all talk about the benefits of tourism to the County and the impact is has on our economy.
All attendees will be able to take away tools and tips to help grow your business and the tourism economy. The program includes:
- Tourism is everyone’s business. In 2017 visitors to the County spent over $134,000,000 in area businesses. Find out how we intend to drive more and more tourists to discover the adventures that NewayGo County provides those looking for new ways to play in our beautiful forests and on our lakes and rivers.
- Delivering on the Pure Michigan Promise. Learn tips and tools on the best ways to welcome visitors and make them want to come back again and again.
- Targeting Customers and Creating Audiences. Cool tools and knowledge on how best to engage more and more customers.
