The Enchanted Forest at Camp Newaygo has rapidly become a much-anticipated local Spring event, and they have just announced the date for this year’s event; Saturday, April 27, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Attendees are invited to roam the expansive, beautiful, and enchanted forest grounds of Camp Newaygo to try to find as many Fairy Houses and Gnome Homes as they can. Legends of little people who live in the woods are found in cultures across the globe, and children and adults alike thrill at the prospect of spotting one of their dwellings.
All of the Fairy House and Gnome Homes at the Enchanted Forest are created by local artisans and crafters and many will be for sale the day of the event.
The cost is still only $7 per person, or $25 per family of four and no prior reservations are required. Walk the trails, create an enchanted craft, and enjoy a cup of tea or punch and a fairy cookie in the sunshine. Wands, wings and fairy dresses are more than acceptable… they’re encouraged! The Rock Wall will also be set up and available for use. Closed-toe shoes are required for all climbers, and a parent or guardian signature is required for climbers under the age of 18. Visit campnewaygo.org/events/enchanted-forest/ for more details.
Camp Newaygo is located at 5333 South Centerline Road in Newaygo. For more information, call 231.652.1184.
