Project FOCUS (For Our Children's Ultimate Success) is an out-of-school program that implements mentoring, civic engagement, career and college preparation, social and emotional learning, high adventure and academic enrichment activities.
Project FOCUS offers summer programming for qualifying students at four locations in Muskegon and Oceana counties this year:
- In Hart at Spitler Elementary School, 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday-Thursday from June 25 to August 2; and at Hart Middle School, 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday-Thursday from June 25 to August 2.
- In Muskegon Heights at Martin Luther King, Jr. Elementary School, 7:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. Monday-Thursday from June 18 to June 28; and 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Thursday July 9 to August 3. There is no programming July 2 to 6.
- In Walkerville at Walkerville Elementary School, 7:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. Monday-Thursday from June 18 to July 26.

A service of TrueNorth Community Services, Project FOCUS is funded through a federal 21st Century Community Learning Centers grant in Hart, Muskegon Heights and Walkerville.
