It’s not too late to sign a five-person team up for Bowlapalooza 2018, the tailgate party-themed bowling fundraiser for TrueMentors.
Bowlapalooza 2018 brings together teams of five bowlers to have fun and bowl at The Commons of Fremont, with two-hour time slots April 26 through 28. The event raises money for TrueMentors for recruiting, enrolling and pairing volunteers with children needing them most.
TrueMentors is an adult-to-youth community mentoring program matching adult volunteers with Newaygo County youth in one-to-one relationships.
Each participant is asked to raise at least $40, earning a Bowlapalooza 2018 t-shirt. For every $40 raised, participants get a raffle ticket for door prizes. The top fundraisers for each session are crowned Bowlapalooza 2018 queen or king. The more donations raised, the more children benefit by having a mentor in their lives.
There’s still time to sign a team up for Bowlapalooza 2018. There are openings Thursday, April 26, 5:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m.; Friday, April 27, 5 p.m.-7 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.-9:30 p.m.; and Saturday, April 28, 3 p.m.-5 p.m. Sign up online at http://www.truenorthservices.org/News-Forms-Events/Bowlapalooza; or register and customize an online fundraising page at www.firstgiving.com/event/57110/bowlapalooza-2018 .
The Commons of Fremont is located at 5885 South Warner Avenue in Fremont.
