NEWAYGO COUNTY, MI – Keep your New Year’s resolution for “date night” alive by attending Camp Newaygo's annual Murder Mystery Dinner Party; Murder Under the Big Top. Who hasn’t dreamed of running away and joining the circus? Did your dreams include solving a whodunit? Now’s your big chance to live your dreams!

Beginning at 6:30 PM on Saturday February 10, this event is highly interactive, and you play as big a part as you’d like. Choosing between a primary role, minor role, or observer, which will be assigned to you after you register, you'll come dressed as your character and follow clues throughout the evening as the group tries to figure out “whodunit.” Cost is $29.95 per person or only $58 per couple and includes a gourmet catered dinner courtesy of Ridge Specialties featuring a classic wedge salad with your choice of Portabella mushroom Duxelle chicken roulade or pecan and parsley crusted whitefish. For dessert – enjoy a white wine poached apple with warm caramel sauce and streusel.  A cash bar with beer and wine will be available.

“We think these events are so popular because they offer something unique and fun for Valentine's Day instead of the normal routine date. It's an interactive mystery where anyone could turn out to be guilty, and it’s great for couples, singles, friends, or groups - it's fun for everyone,” said Camp Newaygo’s Events Coordinator, Christa Smalligan.  

Murder Under the Big Top is provided by Night of Mystery Inc. ( and will take place at Camp Newaygo, located at 5333 Centerline Rd., in Newaygo.
