Big Brothers/Big Sisters (BBBS) of Newaygo County’s annual fun, fundraising event, Bowlapalooza is right around the corner and we are encouraging you to help make a difference in a child’s life by bringing them life-enriching mentors through TrueNorth’s BBBS program.

The event is all about kids. The more donations bowlers raise, the more children will benefit by having a Big Brother or Big Sister in their lives. Bowlapalooza is the single largest fundraiser for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Newaygo County and we want you to know that you can register and customize their online fundraising page at:  https://donate.truenorthservices.org/fremont/events/bowlapalooza-2015/e42448.

“The online fundraising tool is really pretty cool. It’s easy to use and it’s totally secure, so it makes it easy for people to set and reach their fundraising goals for Bowlapalooza,” said, Lisa Daniell, BBBS of Newaygo County Program Director. There are also great prizes and fundraising incentives as well. Each bowler is asked to raise a minimum of $40, and for every $40 raised participants will receive a raffle ticket to win great door prizes throughout the night of the event. When bowlers raise $75 they will receive an awesome Bowlapalooza 2015 T-shirt. At $150, bowlers will receive a beach umbrella; perfect for lounging in the sand, and the Prize for the Top Fundraiser is a Casino Getaway! Indulge and enjoy yourself with a $150 gift card to FireKeepers Casino Hotel in Battle Creek, MI. Dine at one of their six restaurants, visit Traders Blanket gift shop, and stay at their Four Diamond hotel with luxurious amenities. The top prize is awarded to the individual adult (21+) with the most donations collected and turned in at the time of bowl.

Bowlapalooza is for teams of five bowlers and the event, which this year will feature a Tropical Island Party theme, takes place on; Friday, April 17: 5:00 – 7:00 PM and 7:30 - 9:30 PM. Saturday, April 18: 7:00 - 9:00 PM. Friday, April 24: 5:30 - 7:30 PM and 8:00 – 10:00 PM – ALL at Fremont Lanes, in Fremont. Sign-up by contacting Lisa Daniell at (231) 652-1184, or via email at ldaniell@truenorthservices.org, or online right here. BBBS is vital because sometimes, all a kid needs is one more caring adult in their life to make a lasting positive difference.
