VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) Services for West Michigan volunteers provide free tax preparation assistance services to low- to moderate-income individuals and families with household annual incomes below $60,000.
For the 2020 tax season from February through April, TrueNorth Community Services will be a host site at its Service Center, 6308 S. Warner Avenue (M-82) in Fremont. The hours and dates are to be determined.
From February 2018 to April 2019, VITA Services for West Michigan helped prepare 2,619 free income tax returns for eligible low- to moderate-income individuals and families thanks to volunteers, leading to $3.9 million of taxes going back to working families in West Michigan.

The program serves residents of Newaygo, Muskegon, Oceana and Ottawa counties with volunteers preparing returns at seven convenient tax sites, and one drop-and-go site.
